set aside. Crush Rice Krispies cereal and
add to a bowl or plate, whisk eggs in another bowl and in a final bowl mix together
salt, pepper and flour.
Sauce
Whisk
together honey, chili paste and soy sauce.
Set aside.
Shrimp
Dredge
the shrimp in the flour, then the egg mixture and finally coat well with the
crushed rice crispies. In a cast iron
skillet, Dutch oven or other heavy bottomed pan add enough vegetable or light
oil so that there is at least an inch of oil.
Heat the oil to 350 degrees and then add shrimp allowing to brown on one
side and then turning to the other side to complete cooking. The shrimp will only take 2-3 minutes to
cook. Remove the shrimp to paper towel
lined plate or cookie sheet. Cook the
shrimp in batches if they will not fit in the pan in a single layer.
Once all shrimp are cooked serve with sauce. You can keep the shrimp warm in the oven on the lowest temperature for half an hour.
